Nazimgarh Resorts in Sylhet

On December sixth I launched a trip to Sylhet to stay at the Nazimgarh Resorts in Khadimnagar and Lalakhal. I went to Sylhet with my parents and close family friends. We left Dhaka early morning by road on the sixth and arrived in Khadimnagar in the afternoon. The Journey was a six-and-a-half-hour trip by road for a distance of 251 km. After the long journey, it was nice to relax and stretch out in Khadimnagar where we were introduced to the resort with a welcome fruit drink.

There are two Nazimgarh resorts in Sylhet, one in Khadimnagar, and another in Lalakhal. The resort in Khadimnagar is the Nazimgarh Garden Resort. The Garden Resort is set across six acres of landscaped hillside, where you can find dozens of varieties of mountainous flora along with a tea garden for the resort’s guests. The resort is inclusive of 35 luxurious rooms and suites.  We visited in a lull time and were the sole guests of the resort. On-site, there are several activities including a pool, sauna, game room, and movie room. During peak season there are many more indoor and outdoor activities.

The resort has three dining options, however, due to the lull time, only one restaurant was open. The menu was varied and the food prepared was sumptuous. After a night spent at the Khadimnagar, we went to Lalakhal the following morning to check in at the Nazimgarh Wilderness Resort.

The drive to the Wilderness resort was not long however, it was located deep in the Lalakhal hillside with a shared boundary with the Sharee River. We checked into Nazimgarh Lalakhal again with a welcome staff and fruit drinks. After settling in we had lunch at the Lalakhal resort where the menu was diverse and the food tasty. We were the only occupants, so it felt like we had the resort to ourselves.

The Nazimgarh Wilderness Resort in Lalakhal is nestled at the base of the Jaintia Hills of the Indian State of Meghalaya, the last foothills of the Himalayas.

Afterward, we went to the Sharee River which is within walking distance from the resort to avail of a boat ride. We went up and down the Sharee River for a picturesque view of the river and surrounding hills. The Sharee River is spectacular, clean water with a green and blue tinge of color. The boat ride was the highlight of the trip. After the boat ride across the Sharee River, we settled in for dinner at the Wilderness Resort and checked in for the night for our return to Dhaka the following morning.
